Tralume House marries an existing pre-1911 Queenslander cottage with a contemporary architectural renovation & extension.

Located on a sloping site, the design embraces the terrain - creating opportunities to capture city views.

A landscaped courtyard forms the heart of the home, creating a private sanctuary from neighbouring properties & opening towards the city views & surrounding suburbs of Rosalie & Milton.

The material palette consisting of travertine, concrete and bronze aluminium enhances the elegance of the home. The vertical travertine blades of the courtyard provide a rhythm to the design & interface with the concrete planters.

A sculptural stair connects the courtyard to the other levels of the home & is a centrepiece of the design.
