FOLAR is a Brisbane based Architecture and Interior Design practice working closely with clients to shape highly considered homes. FOLAR was established to offer a more considered and engaged way of practising architecture. The practice was shaped by a belief that strong outcomes come from close involvement, clear leadership, and a genuine commitment to seeing ideas carried through properly.
Drawing on two decades of experience, Brisbane Architect James Foley leads the team across high end residential, multi residential, and complex architectural projects.
Through years spent within small and large practices, James saw how easily design intent can be diluted when projects become fragmented or overly process driven.
FOLAR was formed in response to that, as a practice where responsibility is taken seriously and experienced Architects and Interior Designers remain closely connected to the work.
Today, FOLAR operates as a boutique Architectural and Interior Design team working directly with clients, consultants, and builders to shape highly considered homes. Our approach balances confident design thinking with technical rigour, placing strong emphasis on documentation and buildability to protect quality through construction.
Each project is approached with care and intent, recognising that designing a home is both a privilege and a long term responsibility to the people who will live within it.
