James and the team have been a pleasure to work with. They listened to our ideas, understood our lifestyle, and translated everything into a stunning design that exceeded our expectations.

The inner-city suburb of New Farm offers an eclectic mix of character homes from different eras. Having lived in the home for many years, our clients decided it was time for their young family to give their Spanish mission style residence a refresh with a bold new Architectural renovation that paid homage to the heritage elements of the original house.

Connection between indoors and outdoors at ground level was a significant design consideration for the home. The main living space is adjacent to the double height terrace & pool area. The exaggerated arched window height offers an abundance of natural light throughout the main living space of the home.

Interior thresholds are emphasised through steps & stone wrapping the internal doorways, helping articulate key transitions between spaces.

The textured palette of brickwork, emotive stones, timbers & bold colours inside & out are balanced with an abundance of natural light, landscaped planters & subtropical planting.
