Set within one of Brisbane’s most significant CBD heritage landmarks – the new Country Road occupies the ground & mezzanine level of the former 1930’s Bank of New South Wales building.
Cognisant of its historic context, the interior has been inspired by the traditional Queenslander & the warm earthy hues of the nearby Kangaroo Point cliffs.
The space is a dialogue between past and present, preserving the original Bank of NSW stone counters, while also incorporating new timber veneer finishes & lightweight timber battening throughout.
A carefully detailed timber veneer lighting grid has been incorporated to illuminate the retail space for staff & customers.
