Gesturing towards the Brisbane CBD at the rear, our design on this challenging 200sqm site in the inner-city suburb of Spring Hill, Brisbane, is intentionally bold & sculptural.
With the CBD only a stones-throw away, the proposed materials draw on the idea of an 'urban' palette - this includes heavy masonry elements in concrete flooring & feature blockwork walls; as well as lightweight perforated metals. This is complimented by warm timber, emotive stone & contrasting dark & light elements.
The top level has been incorporated to provide a 'flexible' space for formal dining, second living or an additional bedroom for guests.
Below: A new pool is elevated to the Living level. The automated louvres & openings throughout allow cross-ventilation

Below: A scribed white ceiling flows from inside to out. The complimentary materials of concrete, timber & emotive stone help balance the interior.
Below: A subterranean Media, Bar & Cellar has been designed for luxurious home entertaining
Below: The perforated metal lower level provides a hint of the 'urban' material palette which runs throughout the home
Below: A renovated Master Suite comprises a crafted material palette including quality joinery detailing, travertine stone & fluted glass in the Ensuite.
